Terms and conditions

By purchasing an admission ticket to the Royal Museums of Art and History (RMAH), either physically or digitally, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

The admission tickets are valid only for the product (particular museum site, temporary exhibition, permanent collection, number of visitors, date and time) that you specified at the time of purchase.

During your visit, you must always retain your admission ticket and be able to present it at any time at a museum guard’s request.

It is not possible to exchange or refund the admission ticket at your request. Once the admission ticket has been purchased for a particular product, it cannot be changed.

However, the RMAH will refund the ticket if a product cannot be provided due to its own decision or cannot be rescheduled. In the event of cancellation, the RMAH will, as far as possible, attempt to contact you to arrange a refund. Under no circumstances shall the RMAH be liable for any direct or indirect loss resulting from the cancellation of a product.

Please always follow the messages on the information screens and observe the guidelines provided. In case of non-compliance with these guidelines, you may be denied access to the museum.

If you purchase admission tickets at a reduced price, you must always be able to present proof of your entitlement to the reduction when you visit. Any person not in possession of the required documents will be directed to the ticket office to purchase a valid ticket.

In the case of an online purchase, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the admission tickets at the e-mail address you provided. The RMAH assume that the information you provided is accurate. On your arrival, you will be asked to validate the admission ticket. Only a clearly legible printed copy of the digital admission ticket will be accepted.

No admission ticket may be resold by or for third parties without the express consent of the RMAH. Admission tickets that are resold without explicit approval will be refused.

All disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels. Belgian law shall apply.

If you choose to pay by credit card, the amount will be debited from your card immediately after your payment confirmation.
